Martyr Sauce

Mar 12, 2007This is a 60s-style protest in one of Second Life's combat sims. Unlike MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft or Everquest, Second Life is not a gaming environment. Players do not have hit points obtain levels or cast spells. Very few locations feature actual combat. When you die, you get teleported back to your home location. With the ability to reincarnate without impunity, we carried peace signs, flowers and wore tie-dye outfits. We smoked virtual spliffs and offered hits of SL acid to those around us. Reactions were mixed. Some wanted to kill us. Others were confused. Many appreciated our tactics.
